I have been practicing Pilates as a client for over 10 years before deciding to become fully certified to teach. I understand firsthand from a client’s perspective what is needed and what can be uncomfortable in a private Pilates session.

I’ve completed over 500 hours of training through the Polestar Comprehensive Training Program and gained valuable experience working at various types of Pilates studios with the best client retention rate. As an instructor, I’ve had the pleasure of helping clients with diverse conditions, including stenosis, disc pain, shoulder pain, Parkinson’s, scoliosis, osteoporosis. etc.

Every body is different, which is why providing a tailored program for each client is essential for a safe and effective approach. It has been a joy to create creative programs that maximize my clients’ results.

Originally from South Korea, I attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where I studied Statistics before pursuing Pilates.

The word "kahala" in Hawaiian has multiple meanings, including “all paddling together.” To me, this perfectly captures life here on planet Earth, whether we realize it or not. I also see it as a fitting metaphor for teaching, as I paddle alongside my clients, observing, listening, and guiding them to the best of my ability.
